- Selective Binding: SARMs selectively bind to androgen receptors in specific tissues like muscle and bone.
- Mimic Testosterone: They mimic the effects of testosterone in these tissues.
- Muscle Growth: This binding promotes muscle growth and strength.
- Reduced Side Effects: SARMs aim to offer the benefits of anabolic apparel steroids with fewer side effects.
- Bone Density: They may also help increase bone density.
- Tissue Specificity: Unlike steroids, SARMs are tissue-selective, mainly affecting muscle and bone and not other organs.
- Minimal Hormonal Imbalance: They cause less suppression of natural hormones compared to traditional steroids.
- Recovery and Endurance: SARMs can aid in faster recovery from exercise and improved endurance.
SARMs might increase protein synthesis, which is helpful in muscle milk growth and building strength, making them popular among bodybuilders. They’re not as strong as anabolic steroids, although they do bind to your androgen receptors.
1. Talk With Your Healthcare Provider
First, talking with your healthcare provider would be a good idea. They can help you understand the risks and benefits of SARMs. They’ll also go over your fitness goals with you so you can understand how SARMs might help you with your fitness goals and if they’re right for you.
2. Choose Quality Products
Your doctor will also help you ensure you’re using them correctly, as they must be used in ascent cycles and at the correct dosage.
Next, you must do your research. SARMs aren’t regulated, so you’ll need to ensure that you purchase from reputable sources. You want to know you’re putting high-quality products into your body.
Lower-quality products may come with impurities, or the dosages listed on the packaging might not be correct. You’ll want to read product reviews, check lab results, and research the brand’s background before buying anything.
Quality products will also help you to develop your muscles better as they’ll be much more efficient. You don’t want to pay for fake predictions, so always look for Certificates of Analysis or COAs. The company should provide them for each batch of SARMs. Look elsewhere if they don’t.
3. Start Small With SARMs
You must use SARMs in small doses and work up to the standard. That way, you give yourself time to notice how you’ll react to them. Your body will also build up a tolerance, so you don’t feel any side effects quite as intensely.
Jumping right into SARMs can be harmful. If you experience any adverse side effects, stop taking them and speak with your doctor immediately.
How you take SARMs can vary depending on the product. Some have you put it under your tongue with a dropper, while others come in a pill form. So, ensure you’re familiar with the doses and take less first.
Lastly, stay within the recommended dosages for the product.
4. Use SARMs in Proper Cycles
Next, you must use SARMs in a luna cycle, followed by post-cycle therapy or PCT. Doing so lessens the risks of unwanted side effects. The product you order should come with a recommended cycle guide.
Depending on the product, the cycle should take about eight to 12 weeks. Then, you should do the same amount of time off SARMs as PCT. You need to take a break because SARMs can disrupt your body’s natural production of testosterone.
Many people also take a supplement needs during the PCT phase. These can include Clomid, rebirth, and Nolvadex. Here’s a brief break down on the three:
- Clomid: AKA Clomiphene Citrate, is very strong, so it’s better for those using potent SARMs.
- Rebirth: It’s available over the counter, making it a popular PCT choice. They’re the opposite of SARMs because they alter how estrogen, not testosterone, works in your body.
- Nolvadex: AKA Tamoxifen Citrate, speeds up testosterone production. It usually doesn’t have as many side effects as Clomid.
Using SARMs without taking a break could lead to several hormonal issues, and it can even stop your body’s ability to produce testosterone ultimately, which can have a significant impact on your health. So, you must follow the correct cycles.
Using SARMs in cycles will also help your body build more muscle. If you get used to the SARMs, you won’t be able to build muscle and strength efficiently. Taking time off will help you get the gains you want to see.
5. Set a Realistic Training Routine
When many people start SARMs, they expect to see results right away and push themselves past their limits. You don’t want to do that. Instead, set a realistic training routine and stick to it. Consistency is key when trying to build muscle.
You’ll want to focus on muscle-building activities without ignoring your cardio. Starting with bench presses, squats, and arm raises is good. You can build your routine from there.
HIIT workouts are another great choice when on SARMs since HIIT works all areas of your body while providing cardio. Plus, it keeps your metabolism running high. You also won’t need any additional rab equipment to complete it.
Generally, you need to work out between four and six days a week to see gains. You must still have a rest day when on SARMs so you don’t overwork your body.
6. Eat a Healthy Diet and Get Enough Sleep
SARMs can be excellent for weight loss and muscle gain, but you must still eat a healthy diet. You’ll want to ensure you get enough protein so your body has the material to make the muscle.
You must also sleep at least eight hours each night while on SARMs. You make muscle when you sleep, so you should get a good amount of rest.
Many people also feel tired when they first start working out consistently. If you stick with it, you’ll start seeing gains and feeling more energetic. So, getting enough sleep not to feel exhausted after working out is essential. You’ll feel more motivated to continue that way.
Focus on Maximizing Gains
